Sunlight's Kiss
It's not enough to have the feathers. You must dare to fly! - Cass van Krah
The sun is harsh both in the light on sensitive eyes and the burning of their delicate skin – the girls are equally as delicate - and as strong - as a feather.

Bed of Roses
Growing up closes so many doors. The modern world doesn't allow for miracles, so we don't see them. It's a very precious gift, an open mind, but it's not passive. You've got to nurture it like a bed of roses; otherwise it will wither and die. Make sure you don't close off your mind to things you find strange. Sometimes they may be the only truth. - Tim Lebbon

Blossom
Every flower is a soul blossoming in nature. ― Gérard de Nerval

The Power of Two
Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: ‘What! You too? I thought I was the only one.’ - C.S. Lewis

Fairy-like She Sits
While the term fairy goes back only to the Middle Ages in Europe, analogues to these beings in varying forms appear in both written and oral literature, from the Sanskrit gandharva (semi-divine celestial musicians) to the nymphs of Greek mythology and Homer, the jinni of Arabic mythology, and similar folk characters of the Samoans, of the Arctic peoples, and of other indigenous people.
The common modern depiction of fairies in children’s stories represents a bowdlerisation of what was once a serious and even sinister folkloric tradition. The fairies of the past were feared as dangerous and powerful beings who were sometimes friendly to humans but could also be cruel or mischievous.

Magic
The Forest is dark, dearie, The Forest is dark; The moment you think that you’re lost in the woods, then you are.
Do not lose your way, dearie, Do not lose your way; The monsters are lurking not far from the path should you stray.
Things aren’t what they seem, dearie, Things aren’t what they seem; Kind grins are bared teeth; Please don’t answer the calls from the trees.
Do not pay them heed, dearie, Do not pay them heed; Hear footsteps behind you, beware but don’t fret, they’re just checking.
The air is alive, dearie, The air is alive; To help and to hinder, but it’s how some learned to survive.
These woods are too old, dearie, These woods are too old; Watch for crimson wraiths, keep your strength and wits close should you go.
Deep in the Forest. - Emory R. Frie
